Eagle Pump House Cooling Requirements
SyncroFlo recommends the installation of cooling fans and louvers on all irrigation pump houses. The following guidelines should be followed.
1. 15 cubic feet per min. (CFM) per connected horsepower is the minimum recommended volume required for effective cooling.
2. Fans should be located high in the structure on the side opposite the prevailing wind.
3. Louvers of sufficient size to handle the recommended air flow should be installed down low on the wall facing the prevailing wind (opposite the cooling fans).
4. Often the pump station is exposed to the sun. Even the simplest sunshade will provide substantial protection from over temperature of critical components.
