TO:                             End Users of SyncroFlo Pumping Systems Equipped with OMRON c28K PLC’s

Several years ago, OMRON corp. announced that it was discontinuing the manufacture of its C28K Programmable Logic Controller.  The availability of new units would cease as would the supply of spare parts.  Eventually, logistical and technical support of this product would be nil.

For the past eight years or so, SyncroFlo has been installing Mitsubishi PLC’s in our standard controls while continuing to support those products utilizing the previously supplied OMRON units.  The time has arrived where such support is no longer possible.  Therefore, any pump station equipped with an OMRON C28K PLC that requires PLC service will require the conversion to a Mitsubishi PLC.  This is not a difficult exchange but should be performed by a competent controls technician. 

If such a conversion is necessary on your pump station, please contact SyncroFlo Technical Service Department by phone at (770) 447-4443 or email at service@syncroflo.com.  Besides providing return contact information, please also   indicate the SyncroFlo production number of your pump station.

SyncroFlo will provide parts, electrical schematics, technical support and the name of a capable service technician in most cases.  Prices will vary as the replacement PLC’s come in different sizes and some program changes of various complexity will be required.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this conversion may create but in most cases the pump station performance will not be affected and in others, it can actually be improved.
